High-Temperature Resistant Conveyor Belt: 260-Meter Belt for 150°C Industrial Applications

Nov 17, 2025 Leave a message

In November 2025, YIQI Conveyor successfully completed the production of a 260-meter heat-resistant conveyor belt designed for sustained operation under temperatures up to 150°C. This belt will soon be shipped to a long-term Philippine  client specializing in cement and steel processing, where continuous heat exposure is part of daily production.

The new belt demonstrates YIQI's commitment to providing tailor-made conveying solutions that ensure durability, energy efficiency, and long service life even in extreme environments.

Material Structure and Composition

The heat-resistant conveyor belt is engineered with a robust multilayer design to handle both high temperatures and mechanical stress:

- Top & Bottom Rubber Cover: Made from EPDM heat-resistant rubber compounds, offering exceptional resistance to hardening and cracking.
- Reinforcement Layer: High-strength EP fabric (EP150 × 5) ensures excellent adhesion and dimensional stability.
- Adhesion System: Advanced vulcanization technology for superior bonding between layers.
- Temperature Range: Continuous operation up to 150°C, with peak tolerance up to 180°C for short intervals.

Applications in High-Temperature Industries

Heat-resistant conveyor belts are essential in sectors where materials are transported directly from high-temperature processes. YIQI's 150°C-rated belt is suitable for:

- Cement plants – clinker conveying, hot limestone, and kiln feed systems
- Steel and metallurgical industries – handling of sinter, coke, and hot slag
- Power plants – transportation of hot ash and fly dust
- Fertilizer production – conveying of chemical materials post-drying
- Recycling and foundry operations – metal waste and hot scrap handling

Comparison: Heat-Resistant vs. Standard Conveyor Belts

Feature Heat-Resistant Belt Standard Belt
Operating Temperature Up to 150°C Below 80°C
Rubber Hardness Stable, low aging Tends to harden
Flexibility Maintained after long exposure Decreases rapidly
Service Life 3–5× longer Shorter lifespan
Maintenance Cost Low High due to frequent replacement

Production and Quality Control

YIQI Conveyor follows strict inspection protocols during each production stage to ensure quality and consistency:
1. Material Inspection – Each batch of rubber compound is tested for heat aging, tensile strength, and elongation.
2. Fabric Testing – EP fabrics are inspected for adhesion, tensile strength, and dimensional accuracy.
3. Vulcanization Control – Temperature and pressure are monitored in real time to ensure uniform bonding.
4. Final Testing – Each belt undergoes surface inspection, hardness testing, and tensile simulation before packing.
