Bend Pulley is used for changing the direction of conveyor belt or increasing the surrounding angle between conveyor belt and driving pulley. The Bend Pulley is usually installed at the tail part or the vertical take-up equipment part when the belt direction need to 180° bending. It will be installed above the take-up equipment part while 90° bending.
The surface treatment of the bend pulley can be smooth steel and flat rubber lagging.
Snub pulley
Snub pulleys are conveying system components that are individually designed and manufactured in different sizes and for different conveying requirements. Snub pulleys are used to increase the wrap angle of the conveyor belt to reduce the pulling force of the belt. The use of a Snub Pulley is to prevent belt slippage which means costly downtime. Mounted close to the drive pulley on the return side of the belt, the Snub Pulley's primary job is to increase the angle of wrap around the drive pulley, thereby increasing traction. Another function of Snub pulley is to reduce belt tension, which is important in maximizing the conveyor life.
What are the difference between bend pulley and snub pulley?
The bend pulley and snub pulley are the same. We classify it according to its function in conveyor belt. When we use it to change the direction of the belt, we can call it bend pulley. When we use it to increase the wrap angle, we can call it snub pulley. On the drawing above, we can even see a group of drums whose goal is to tension the belt. This group is composed of 2 bend pulleys and 1 take up pulley. There are many other kinds of conveyors, some of them needing until 8 even 10 pulleys !

4. Weld the shaft sleeve and disc with the positioner.
5. Process the outside circle with large drum lathe to guarantee the even wall thickness.
6. We select #45 round steel and sleeve to ensure the concentricity and reduction for the eccentric shaft force.
7. Equip the inner bearing enlargement device to avoid bearing damage from beating.
8. We will make the static balance inspection when the belt speed exceeds 2.5m/s.
9. We can produce different type, different standard pulley according to customers' request.
